Frequently Asked Questions

How Can Suiting Green Consulting Help You?

FAQ: FAQ

How do I know that Suiting Green is the right consulting agency for me?

We understand what military veterans bring to the table when they leave the service because we've been there, done that. We can assist with translating veteran experience into something that will make sense for your organization, by utilizing what they learned in the military to fill gaps within your organization.

How does Suiting Green customize its services for my company?

We will evaluate the strengths and potential gaps with your veteran hiring process, or even help you create one. We will highlight how onboarding veterans can save your company time. We will even assist with creating, or reinforcing, a veteran diversity resource group to help your veteran employees as they transition from the military into corporate America.

My company wants to hire more veterans, but we don't know the best ways to go about that. Can Suiting Green help?

We know veterans, because we are veterans. We know veterans come in all "flavors" with all kinds of experiences and skills. We can help you make sense of what it means for a veteran to be a Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine, or Coast Guardsman. We also know that not all veterans come with leadership experience and can help you sort through the maze of veteran resumes. We also provide a "safe space" to ask questions you may be considering asking veteran candidates during the interview process.

I want to hire veterans now. Can you help me do that?

Currently, Suiting Green is not in the business of providing staffing for companies wishing to hire military veterans. We do have strategic partnerships with organizations who assist veterans with the transition process and are more than willing to provide contact information for these organizations to understand what their talent pools look like.

I have concerns about hiring veterans because I don't want someone barking orders at my other employees.

Why do companies hire veterans?

Often, veterans are considered valuable employees in the workplace as they tend to hold advanced skills in management, organization, task fulfillment, punctuality, adaptability, commitment, and team-building.

If I hire a veteran, are they going to be yelling and/or barking orders at my other employees? What about PTSD?

Everyone has questions and preconceived notions about military service members when they leave the military. Here at Suiting Green, we want to help dispel those concerns and answer questions you may have about whether or not veterans will be a good fit for your organization by providing you with the chance to ask away without worrying about offending someone. We want to ensure you have as much information as possible when it comes to making the decision to hire veterans and build a more inclusive, diverse, and equitable organization. We like to remind people that even broken crayons can still be useful for coloring.
